Suddenlink Business Class

Most commonly, businesses choose to have calls answered by Numa if the call is not answered or if the line is busy or not functioning. These instructions will assist you in enabling "Call Forwarding No Answer" and "Call Forwarding Busy" in your Suddenlink Business Class phone.

Setup Instructions

First, we'll set up Call Forwarding If No Answer and then, starting on Step 4, we'll set up Call Forwarding If Busy.

  1. Pick up the phone, listen for a dial tone, then dial *92.
  2. Wait for confirmation tone, and then dial your Numa number
  3. Listen for the confirmation tones and hang up the telephone.
  4. Pick up the phone, listen for a dial tone, then dial *90.
  5. Wait for confirmation tone, and then dial your Numa number
  6. Listen for the confirmation tones and hang up the telephone
  7. OPTIONAL: To change the number of rings that calls ring at your business before Suddenlink forwards the call to Numa, pick up the phone, listen for a dial tone then dial *94. Wait a moment, then enter number of rings (2-9). Listen for confirmation tone and hang up the telephone.

That's it!

How to Confirm It's Working

You can place a test call by going to Set up Numa > Phone numbers > Test my setup or call your business's phone number from your personal phone. If nobody answers, you should hear your Numa Voicemail greeting.

Troubleshooting

Note that Suddenlink may require you to have the "Solutions Features" package on your line.

Make sure you don't have an answering machine picking up your calls before they get forwarded.

If your business's phone line is part of a hunt group (multiple lines that ring until one is answered), you may need to set up forwarding on all the lines involved. Alternatively, you could remove your business phone line from the hunt group.

Contact your phone provider and have them double check that forwarding was set up properly and is active on your line.

Turn off Call Forwarding

  1. Call Forwarding No Answer: Press *93 then wait for confirmation tone.
  2. Call Forwarding Busy: Press *91 then wait for the confirmation tone.
