Set Up Call Forwarding No Answer on Line2

Instructions

(from the Line2 support center)

  1. Visit your dashboard

  2. Go to Call Handling > Forwarding

  3. Toggle the switch to the right of "Calls not answered on the Line2 App are forwarded as set below." to turn forwarding ON

  4. In the Forwarding Numbers section, enter your Numa number

  5. Toggle the switch to the right to Enable the number(s)

  6. Scroll down to "If Unanswered After Forwarding" and select "Let remote voicemail answer"

  7. Click the drop-down underneath "If not answered in" and select "8 rings" to prevent calls from inadvertently snapping back.

  8. Click Save

How to Confirm It's Working

You can place a test call by going to Settings > Phone numbers > Test my setup or call your business's phone number from your personal phone. If nobody answers, you should hear your Numa Voicemail greeting.

Troubleshooting

Make sure you don't have an answering machine picking up your calls before they get forwarded.

If your business's phone line is part of a hunt group (multiple lines that ring until one is answered), you may need to set up forwarding on all the lines involved. Alternatively, you could remove your business phone line from the hunt group.

Contact your phone provider and have them double check that forwarding was set up properly and is active on your line.

Turn off Call Forwarding

  1. Visit your dashboard

  2. Go to Call Handling > Forwarding

  3. In the Forwarding Numbers section, remove your Numa number

  4. Toggle the switch to the right of "Calls not answered on the Line2 App are forwarded as set below." to turn forwarding OFF
